I write speculative literature to explore how pressure fractures human character, infrastructure, and societal systems. My work focuses on thematic depth, grounded world-building, and psychological realism across science fiction, grimdark, and speculative genres. This perspective is shaped by academic research and three decades of practical fieldwork. Holding a BA and an MA from York St John University, I combine literary analysis and historical research with insights drawn from over thirty years spent traveling globally as an engineer and volunteering with Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO).Decades spent navigating complex infrastructure, remote environments, and cross-cultural challenges directly inform the systems and logistical realities within my fictional worlds. Every narrative is built on technical precision, historical parallel, and the belief that examining societies under strain reveals the most enduring truths about human resilience.
